What a shame that it didn’t work out. Great that he changed his lifestyle, but the Hangry affect can be very difficult as well. But hopefully he will continue to stay away from his addictions even though his Hangry behaviour was partly to blame for loosing you.

Yeah, shocking! Before my time he had been a severe pot-user, then a serious drinker. Points for effort! Once sober, if he was food deprived he really didn’t cope. Once fed the change was miraculous. You got the bit that when I mentioned boyfriend, I meant past-tense. So, I completely agree.
