Hi Kat, I haven’t written about CTE or domestic violence as I haven’t personally experienced them. I have been diagnosed with “brain damage” very vague while dealing with CPTSD as well. I am petrified I have CTE as I am a Domestic Violence victim. I have lost friend and am hanging on by my nails to keep my kids that are adults.
They are in denial while I am literally stressed out of my mind with very little help. My therapist is great but I feel that it isn’t going anywhere. My doctors keep putting me through testing for everything under the sun but ignore the brain damage. I know there is nothing that can be done for TBI (CTE especially) but I am so alone in this and terrified.
I would love to write about my life and issues as they are very unique but with management skills and cognitive skills being as they are it is a lot for me.
I also get overwhelmed as I still drive and try to do all I can to be normal. I just need support and wondered if you have done a blog on family members in denial or Domestic Violence & CTE? If you haven’t I would love to see what you have to say. And the fact that there are people out there living without their brain damage being diagnosed. That is what scares me for our society! Thank you again you are helping so many! Keep up the amazing work!

Hi Lucy, I’m sorry to hear that your parents are no longer with us. Sadly I can relate to this as both of mine have passed away too. There are days that I’d love to speak to them about what is happening…. well actually I do talk to them, I just don’t get to hear their responses.

Both my parents have passed away, I have a 16 year old and work as a cleaner in Sussex.
I currently live in supported living, but moving out in the community soon.
I have been to Headway Surrey and Bath which were great!
I love reading and my passion is writing.
Finding things tough atm with COVID 19
